Lumbosacral Transitional Vertebrae (LSTV) adalah kelainan kongenital pada tulang belakang dapat berupa sacralisasi dari segmen lumbar terbawah atau lumbalisasi dari segmen sacrum superior.1
Castellvi mengklasifikasikan kelainan ini menjadi 4 tipe berdasarkan morfologinya
I: dysplastic transverse processes, defined as measuring at least 19 mm in width – it can be unilateral (Ia) or bilateral (Ib)
II: incomplete unilateral (IIa) (IIb) lumbarization/sacralization with an enlarged transverse process that has a diarthrodial joint between itself and the sacrum.
III: lumbarization/sacralization with complete osseous fusion of the transverse process(es) to the sacrum, unilateral (IIIa) or bilateral (IIIb)
IV: (Mixed) involves a unilateral type II transition with a type III on the contralateral side
